“I don’t think it’s intuitive or conceptual, I just take it as it is and use it day to day.”

T

How would you characterize your own tumblr? (Here you can list some adjectives or make a short statement about the intention of your tumblr.)
feed-well

 - In the beginning it was somewhat a reflection of my current mindset and interests so I tried to be as accurate as I can in posting accordingly. However as I progressed I began to realize that tumblr can become a creative outlet for me by trying to stitch the random flow of images into a sort of narrative that can be perceived by my followers.

designcouncil

 - Things that in my opinion are well-designed or simply what resonates with my aesthetic sensibilities.

COLOR TONED PROJECT -

This is an experiment that operates on the premise that each color has a specific effect on the human psyche. I use these to modulate my own daily mood. There’s both literature and science to support this theory. Goethe wrote extensively about colors.

tonallyblack

- mysterious, sexy, strong, omnipresent.

tonallyblue

- peaceful, soothing, calm.

tonallyb-w

- graphically strong, timeless.

tonallygrey

- neutral, calm, sophisticated.

tonallybeige

- warm, familiar.

tonallybrown

- masculine, homely, comfortable.

tonallyred

- sexy, hot, enticing, intriguing, motivational.

tonallypink

- sweet but edgy.

tonallyyellow

- sunny, bright, joyful, hopeful.

tonallywhite

- clean,  fresh, dreamy.

tonallyorange

- exciting, loud, inspiring.

tonallygreen

- calming and relaxing but also invigorating.

tonallypurple

- regal and decadent.

tonallyclear

- light, quiet and almost demure and reluctantly present, transparent but can be distorted.

tonallyshiny

- opulent, ostentatious, sometimes vulgar but also very relatable to society’s materialistic values.

tonallypoignant

 - thoughts that stick in our minds well after it crosses our paths.

officefordesignoperations

- tumblr is actually one of the best ways to stay current in world events as perceived not by the media but by the young social-media savvy population. This is where I get a lot of inspiration in organizing my  professional research work.

Do you work with your tumblr more intuitively or more conceptually?

I’m a very intuitive person so I pick the images in a very intuitive manner but there is also a conceptual framework that helps me organize each tumblr.

What did you formerly do in the time, that you spend with your tumblr now? Or is there anything you forgo to have enough time for your tumblr?

Working as an architect in an office leaves very little time for personal projects or interests but I have more control of my own time these days as a professor and researcher.

How often do you take a look at your own tumblr archive?

Yes once in a while I try to look at my archives for inspirations for both personal and professional purposes.

How old are you? Where du you come from? Which gender do you have? What’s your education respectively your profession?

I’m a 46 year old architect and professor of architecture design. I have a Master Degree in Architecture from Harvard-GSD and I live in the US.
